The H-13 Sioux Helicopter

Contributed by Maj Peter Dudley.

The Canadian Army acquired three Bell Model 47 (US Army designation H 13 Sioux) helicopters serials 9608, 9609 and 9616 in 1948 for training and doctrinal development. The aircraft were assigned to 444 AOP Sqn then to the LAS at CJATC until they were transferred to the RCN once the CH 112 came into service in 1961.
