Restored L-19 16709Restored L-19 16709 at Sechelt BC (Photo by Derek Hudson). The above photo of former Canadian Army L-19A 16709 was taken in Sechelt BC (CAP 3) Monday 30 Sep 19 by Derek Hudson of Langley BC. The aircraft was recently fully restored to airworthy condition by Mr. Kris Reynolds of Sechelt BC. Kris bought the aircraft a few years ago after it was taken out of service by the Air Cadet League of Canada. The aircraft formerly flew out of Comox BC, towing gliders for the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. The markings on the aircraft are 100% accurate for the time period depicted (late 1950-early 1960s). In the background to the left can be seen Kris on the right chatting with John MacGregor of Langley BC who had just flown-in to CAP 3 in his beautiful Cessna 150 along with Derek Hudson to visit with Kris and ARMY 709. |
