The men listed here were essential to the very existence of the Air OP and the fulfillment of its role.
These men came from among the best of the Army (RCHA, RCA, RCASC, and RCEME) and the RCAF, with every rank: W01, MWO, W02, S/Sgt, F/Sgt, WO, Sgt, Bdr, Cpl, L/Bdr, L/Cpl, LAC, AC1,
Cfn, Gnr and Pte. Some came from the RCN just before the Air OP was folded. Their trades were: Aero Engine Technician, Air Frame Technician, Aviation Technician,
Clerk, Cook, Driver, Driver Operator, Instrument Technician, Observer, Photo Technician, Radio Operator, Radio Technician, Storeman Clerk, Technical Assistant and Vehicle Mechanic.
Their willingness to pitch-in well beyond their trade responsibilities was what made the whole thing work.
It is certain that this list is not complete. Nominal rolls cannot be released due to privacy legislation. Names have been taken from the nominal rolls that are available,
by word of mouth and from a search of pilot's log books. Names of all those who served with 665 (RCAF) Air OP Sqn are not available. Initials were not available for many.
Surnames are shown more than once when it is certain that there is more than one by the same surname.1
