The distinguished service and flying career of LGen Lou Cuppens, CMM, CD, started as a gunner officer and a pilot in the Air OP and continued in the unified forces. LGen Cuppens achieved the most senior rank of all those who qualified as army pilots and were engaged in active flying duties.

CANADIAN WAR MUSEUM (CWM) ORAL HISTORY PROJECT View Content
During the 2003/4 timeframe, 13 former Canadian Army Pilots were interviewed by Maj (Ret’d) JR (Digger) MacDougall RCAC, a CWM Oral History Project volunteer at the time, as part of the overall Project. The taped interviews were subsequently transcribed as pdf files. Names of those interviewed are: Bisset, Booth, Cote, Dicker, Dudley, Fromow, Heitshu, Lewis, Noiles, RodenBush, Rowbottom, Seguin and Betcher.
These 13 transcriptions have been added to the PILOT Section of the site and are accessible therein, by kind permission of the Canadian War Museum.

As you may be/are aware, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum has an ongoing project to collect and retain or photocopy aircrew logbooks from as many Canadian Aviators as possible. To date they have some 841 books recorded and kept in their research library at Rockcliffe. This website link contains a detailed list of their holdings.
